Six steel constructions mark Apeldoorns area Woudhuis a mid 90's urban development project. Sculptor Nicolas Dings was inspired by the castle-like buildings in the area and sculpted two towers and four bastions, overlooking the A50 highway near the Apeldoorn exit. The birds on top of the cages symbolising the castle that might have been there, seem to be protecting the inhabitants of the area.
